Fish Tank Review

The film Fish Tank is a British movie directed and written by the author of the book 'Fish Tank' Andrea Arnold. It is based on a 15  year old girl called Mia who have a very big fond for dancing and become a professional, but has a down side as she has no motivation to become what she wants to be.Mia gets hurt by motly every character in the movie but ends up loving the boy she lost her virginity too.

Katie Jarvis (Mia) and Michael Fassbender (Connor). Mia is a very badminded child getting kicked out of school and living in a ruff estate, she has no friends, and has no positive relationship with mother in any way. She takes her stress away by going to a abonded apartment where she practises her dancing. you
also see that she is a good dancer throughout the movie.

as you can see that she has been kicked out of school but she meets her mums new boyfriend 'Connor' he becomes a father like figure to her and he supports her throughout the movie, however this soon becomes to a stand still  as soon as Mia and Connor kiss, he then leaves Mia's mother to go back to his real family, when Mia finds out she is angry and kidnaps hisyoung daughter.. She tries to win a dancing competition but finds out the tcompetition are for strippers not street dancers. she then decides to leave the competition as it is not suitable to her needs, where later she starts getting her life back on track and the film finishes her. she then decides to herself that where she lives is not right for her and decides to get back with her ex boyfriend and move to wales where she hopes to start a fresh brand new life and gain the happiness she wants to succeed in life and not turn out like her mother.

The soundtrack of this movie is very weird but basic due to the use of dancing and brings out all the aspects of it; a lot of contrapuntal music being played, its very effective as it shows how different the music is due to the scene kind of contrasting with how Mia is different with her family.

I think the movie is more aimed at young kids aiming to become something and not laying back as it gives them the oppurtunity to show how life is a struggle and you need to be determined and hardworking if you want to get to the top. In my opinion, i think the film would be an 7/10 but its a good movie to motivate people to be more determined and life as oppurtunities come once in a life time and you got to work for it as many people are very unlucky to get a chance
